“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.”
It is here we are blessed because we trust “in” the Lord. It is here do you not only trust the Lord but in His plans, His purposes, His programs and His Promises.
Another point is that your hope is not only in the Lord but your hope “is” the Lord.
Because of these facts in and is we know that we shall be like a tree which is planted by the river and our roots are grounded in Him. When the heat which is called life comes your way, you are not fearful or afraid.
Not only are you planted, rooted but you are also green. The color green means “new life, environment, happiness and lawlessness”.
The following scriptures will help you understand the meaning of the color green:- Psalm 92:12-14 “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;”.
Hosea 14:8 “Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
Genesis 1:11-13 “And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.”
Genesis 2:8, 15 “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”
The last part of this got my attention “…and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit”. The key words are “will not” and “nor will cease”. Five words yet they are powerful when placed in this portion of the passage.
This means to me in spite of my anxiousness or my drought in the year, I will still yield fruit. I will still preach, I will still be His ready pen and speak thus says the Lord. I will still worship, still praise, still study His Word, still only believe Him, and still seek after His heart. I will be still and see the salvation of the Lord.
Here I know that drought will be happening in the year but it means I will still yield my fruit that He has invested within me to be His blessing in someone else’s life.

You really make it appear really easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really one thing that I think I’d never understand. It sort of feels too complex and very huge for me. I am taking a look ahead for your next submit, I’ll try to get the grasp of it!
