Topic: The Finished Work of the Cross
Scripture (KJV)
John 19:30
“…It is finished…”
Devotional
The words “It is finished” are among the most powerful declarations ever spoken.
They signify completion, fulfillment, and victory.
At the cross, Jesus completed the work of redemption. Sin was defeated. The debt was paid. Access to God was restored.
The cross is not a symbol of defeat; it is the place of victory.
What appeared as loss was actually triumph.
What appeared as suffering was actually redemption.
What appeared as an ending was actually a beginning.
The finished work of Christ means that salvation is not earned; it is received.
The burden of sin is lifted.
The barrier between God and humanity is removed.
The pathway to relationship is restored.
The cross also speaks to personal areas of life.
What feels unfinished in your life?
What feels unresolved?
What feels incomplete?
The finished work of Christ extends beyond salvation; it brings restoration, healing, and renewal.
Because of the cross:
you are forgiven,
you are redeemed,
you are restored.
The cross declares that God’s work is complete — and His grace is sufficient.
Prayer
Father, I thank You because I know You hear me. Let Your will be done.
Lord, thank You for the finished work of the cross. Thank You for redemption, forgiveness, and restoration.
Help me walk in the freedom Christ secured. Remove any mindset that tries to earn what You have already given.
Let my life reflect gratitude, faith, and obedience.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declaration
It is finished. I am redeemed, forgiven, and restored. I walk in the victory of Christ and the fullness of His grace.
Daily Reflection Word
