And God Remembered

Hezekiah got a word from the Lord to get his things in order because he was going to die and not live.  Hezekiah turns his face to the wall and said “I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.” 2 Kings 20:3
He asked God to Remember him because 1). He walked before the Lord.  2). the Lord in whom he trusted in the truth of God.  3). With a perfect (mature) heart.  4). Done what was right in the sight of God.

We have to put God in remembrance what we have done for the Lord.  “Walking before” the means you are in front trusting God and your faith, obedience and believing God, his word and knowing that God’s will and plans are being executed because you put God in remembrance of what you want done.

When we remember means that we recall, recollect, memorize, consider, retain, and learn.  When we ask God to remember we want him to do the same things which is remember.

And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord . And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.  2 Kings 20:4-6

In verses 4-6 of 2 Kings, we read that God changed his mind about Hezekiah dying and will not live.  Yes. God remembers and changes his mind. God gave Hezekiah 15 more years to live.

What have you done that causes God to remember?

In Genesis 8:1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark.

In Genesis 19:29 ….God remembered Abraham

Also in Genesis 30:22 And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

And again in Exodus 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
God is no respect of person therefore, since God remembered these people he will remember you and me.

It is in those hard, out of control, seems like God is nowhere to be found; when it seem like God is about to cause his wrath or you feel that God has forgotten you just have to do what Hezekiah did:-

1).  Cry out to God and to get God to remember that

2). You walked before the Lord and

3). You truth in the Lord

3). With a perfect (mature) heart and

4). Done what was right in the sight of God.

In conclusion, remember to remind God what you have done to change the course of your life, ministry, your walk with the Lord, etc.

As you recall, recollect, memorize, consider, retain, and as it seem that God has forgotten you in the midst of your situation, circumstances, problems and trouble this will causes God to remember you and reverse your journey called life.
